Chapel of Reconciliation in Bernauer Strasse

Chapel of Reconciliation is located at a place known as "No man land." Previously it is the location of the famous Berlin wall which separate the German into two sides. The church of reconciliation had being vacant for long years since 1961 deal to its location.
After the Berlin wall was demolished in 1989, there are alot of effort to built another congregation point for the people.
Two young architects from Berlin, Rudolf Reitermann and Peter Sassenroth were appointed to built the new chapel.
The chapel is in oval rotunda layout with wood forming a cage surrounding the rammed earth core where the altar is.
