

Brother Claus Field Chapel, located in Mecharnich, Germany is built as a dedication to the holy Niklaus von Fluehe, by the local farmers.

Peter Zumthor 's works are a combination of Arts and Craft, which focus on time and continuity.
In this chapel, Zumthor incoporated a technique called "rammed concrete", which is pouring 24 layers of concrete around a teepee made of 112 tree trunks together for 24 days. Later the tree trunk was burn to have the final texture.
